Mekong Salt Lab: Project Launching Event

Supported by Nuffic and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Water Agnecy launched the “Mekong Salt Lab” project in collaboration with local partners in Vietnam. The project focuses on seawater intrusion, one of the priorities of the Mekong region. The applied training model will work comprehensively with local stakeholders and learns more from international experience sharing similar salt damage challenges.

The launching event was held on 24th May 2022, and Mr. Willem Schoustra, Agricultural Counsellor for the Netherlands Embassy in Vietnam delivered the opening remarks. Our Managing Director, Mr. Gregor Van Essen, also had a brief introduction about the advantage of sharing knowledge and collaboration in saline intrusion as a global issue.
