The Water Agency is honored to be a part of the 10th World Water Forum in Bali, where the Youth Hackathon: Bali Raincraft participants showcased their innovative solutions. These brilliant young minds presented various concept solutions, ranging from infrastructural and engineering-based solutions to community-based approaches, aiming to address pressing water-related issues.
- Team Masuk Maji: Team Masuk Maji tackled the lack of freshwater access and higher carbon emissions in the Lapangan Puputan Renon area. They proposed constructing a comprehensive water filtration system, complete with pipelines, water sprinklers, tap water access around the field, and additional water management facilities.
- Team #EatPrayLove: Motivated by environmental challenges such as flooding and poor waste management, as well as social issues related to economic growth and employability, Team #EatPrayLoveWater put forward a plan to build water resources management infrastructures, waste sorting bins, and creative market and sustainable tourism initiatives for Renon.
- Team Ironic: Addressing flooding and saline groundwater issues, Team Ironic proposed an infiltration well, zoning for urban forests, sports, and entertainment areas, and an integrated rainwater harvesting system. Their additional solutions included constructing a rest area and water refill station and conducting regular drainage clean-ups.
- Team Trinity: Addressing flooding and saline groundwater issues, Team Ironic proposed an infiltration well, zoning for urban forests, sports, and entertainment areas, and an integrated rainwater harvesting system. Their additional solutions included constructing a rest area and water refill station and conducting regular drainage clean-ups.
- Team Pogung Warriors: Team Pogung Warriors, composed of four Civil Engineering students from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, proposed enhancing the field’s soil stability and implementing an early warning system for flood forecasting. They also suggested improving water treatment systems and integrating a new water storage facility to address flooding issues in the Lapangan Puputan Renon area.
